The Course

A Written (Part 1), Driving (Part 2) and then Teaching (Part 3) exams are all you need to pass to qualify as an Approved Driving Instructor. They are not difficult and dont require much more knowledge than you should know already.

All exams have to be taken in series - so you have to take and pass the Part 1 before taking the Part 2 etc.

We encourage students to start the in-car driving and pupil teaching training as soon as you start on the course so we can get you through your Part 1 and 2 exams within 12-16 weeks

Having passed your Part 2 we can start you in work under a "Trainee licence" after 20 hours of Part 3 training.

Course Outline:
  • Training for the Part 1 Written multiple choice exam includes Home study + weekly classroom sessions
  • Training for the Part 2 Driving exam is "in car" practical driving lessons from one of our trainers.
  • Training for the Part 3 Teaching exam is a combination of classroom and practical "in-car" teaching sessions - normally we would start you off on the classroom sessions when you start your Part 1 training.
  • Induction training takes place when you have passed your Driving Exam to prepare you to start work under a Trainees licence
  • When you start up under a Trainee Licence we give you further weekly "in car" training, for as long as you need to pass your Part 3 Teaching exam

Effectively you will get as much training as you need to get you through the qualification process - as we cannot afford for you to fail.
